Vietnamese native, Ngo Tien Doan, MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008 will crown his successor at the conclusion of the pageant. During his term, he travels and appears on the media extensively to speak about his role as the Titleholder. The newly crowned MISTER INTERNATIONAL will also go on to do the same. He will also travel the world on behalf of the Mister Singapore Organization.
Each contestant from more than 35 countries around the world will be judged in three categories: swimwear, evening wear and interview as they vie for the coveted title of MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2009.

On November 24, 2008, Ngo Tien Doan's life changed forever when he was crowned MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008 in Tainan, Taiwan ROC. The 25 year-old, who also won the SportsmenAsia Swimwear and Fitness Competition, comes from Can Tho and speaks two languages - Vietnamese and English. Ngo Tien Doan is a Mechanical Engineering lecturer at Can Tho University. One of his proudest accomplishments was standing at the University hall podium lecturing on his favorite topic to hundreds of students in 2006. This extraordinary and unforgettable moment that he has been given tenure as a lecture of technology at Can Tho University has made him extremely proud of his ability, and it has also increased his voice amongst the professional in the region Tien Doan is also Vietnam’s top Male model. His modeling career has helped him gained vast experience in catalogue modeling and has worked with prestigious companies throughout Asia. Although Tien Doan has a successful teaching and modeling career, his lifelong ambition is to pursue a PhD. in Technology. His evening English classes at a famous language school would also strengthen his credits in pursuing a scholarship for his MSc. in the near future. As MISTER INTERNATIONAL 2008, Tien Doan will work with the Mister Singapore Organization’s official cause, Singapore Children’s Cancer Foundation, to increase awareness on childhood cancer by forging relationships with organizations committed to research and education, as well as several other charitable alliances. He will also travel around the world as a representative of the Mister Singapore Organization.
